The Kenko SKYMEMO mini is a compact motorized tracking platform featuring two operating modes: an equatorial mount mode for astrophotography and a rotation mode for time-lapse photography. With a payload capacity of up to 5 kg, it enables high-quality astronomical imaging and time-lapse shooting using a standard photographic tripod.

Despite its lightweight and compact design, the SKYMEMO mini can operate for up to 20 hours on four AA batteries. An integrated LCD display provides easy access to settings and allows users to quickly check the selected operating mode.

Multi-Function Shooting Platform

The Kenko SKYMEMO mini is a motorized tracking head that combines a portable equatorial mount mode with a rotation mode for time-lapse photography. Measuring just 84 × 86 × 65 mm (excluding protrusions) and weighing only 630 g, it is easy to carry and ideal for outdoor use.

With a single device, users can create daytime time-lapse sequences as well as starscape photographs that track the movement of celestial objects. Its compact square-shaped design minimizes bulk, making transportation and storage more convenient.

Powered by AA Batteries or Micro-USB

The SKYMEMO mini is powered by four AA batteries (not included). It also features a micro-USB port, allowing it to be powered by a USB power bank or USB charger.

For optimal power stability, it is recommended to keep the AA batteries installed even when using USB power. The unit can operate for up to 20 hours on batteries alone, while USB power enables virtually unlimited operating time.

Dual Sight Holes for Polaris Alignment

Two sight holes located on the bottom of the unit make it easy to locate Polaris and align the polar axis accurately.

• Large sight hole (Ø 7 mm): for quick rough alignment.
• Small sight hole (Ø 4 mm): for precise fine adjustment.

This dual-sight system simplifies polar alignment in the field.
